Eddie and Emmy are high school sweethearts from the wrong side of the tracks. Looking for an escape from their dreary lives, they embark on an overnight camping trip in the Fear Street Woods with four friends. As Eddie is carving a heart into a tree, he and Emmy discover a bag hidden in the trunk.
A bag filled with hundred-dollar bills. Thousands of them. Should they take it? Download 13 Files download 6 Original. Korean edition of Goosebumps 1: Welcome to Dead House. Goosebumps' series are a favorite horror story series for children, with fearful events taking place at th. Today I am sharing a book series that contains 62 books.
The name of the book series is Goosebumps. It is a series of horror fiction novellas written by R. Then, horrible things start happening to Michael and his friends. He suspects if the new girl is somehow connected to these events… What I liked about the story I like the Fear Street series more than I like Goosebumps they were too immature for my taste , so these new additions to the old series are very welcome.
As any RL Stine book, the story flows fast. I read The Lost Girl in a day and I was entertained every single minute. I liked the ending where everything resolved quite nicely. The main character was likeable and he managed to overcome the problems well.
I knew what was going to happen from the start. Aug 26, Vesper Vesper rated it really liked it. As a kid, I used to do my best to avoid watching Goosebumps on television. Hell, I even feared watching Are you Afraid of the Dark? However, even though I did my best to avoid Goosebumps , I always found myself watching it. I'm not a huge R. Stine follower, but as soon as I saw this on NetGalley, I just had to pick it up and see what he's been doing for his fans that, like me, grew up with him in their lives.
Now at twenty-four, I've grown a liking to the As a kid, I used to do my best to avoid watching Goosebumps on television. Now at twenty-four, I've grown a liking to the horror genre and decided to delve back into my childhood with this book.
In fact, I was really freaking excited to start reading this This is R. L Stine's scariest work yet which I would know since I've been an avid fan of his for the past twelve years.
This book tells a story in two different timelines but the reader is held up wondering until the end of the book. This book was terrifying, it was intriguing, it was gripping and it held me in suspense till the last page. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys horror or R. L Stine's works. Oh and one last thing- I've prided myself on finding the ending of every single Stine This is R.
Oh and one last thing- I've prided myself on finding the ending of every single Stine novel before it happens. This book gives nothing away and it's suspense both irritated and intrigued me. Read it. Aug 21, Aly rated it it was amazing. Love, Love, Love this author! This book was just as good as his Fear Street series for me that I grew up reading. I remember begging my mom to buy me R. Stine books all the time when I was younger and these books never disappoint me. I guess I will never out grow R.
Stine and the Fear Street! I am so glad he has started writing this series again for kids to enjoy in a another generation! This book was so great I would reread it and buy it for my niece. Sep 04, Saf rated it it was ok. And honest I will be.
This book will be published September 29th I liked it. I didn't love it. I had a few issues with the characters and the plot alike. Oct 30, Kris - My Novelesque Life rated it it was ok Shelves: childhood-memories , suspense , mystery , arc-netgalley , young-adult , horror. I am not sure if it's the writing, or me no longer being young, lol.
I will try one more, and then I am giving up on the series. I am going to try one of the original books to see if I still like them. Mar 05, Chelsea Gouin rated it did not like it Shelves: fear-street.
Starting in , Beth is assaulted by this guy from school because he's convinced every girl is in love with him. But she has secret powers and he chokes on his tongue and accuses her of being a witch. Seriously, most gruesome scene R. L has ever written. Then, the narrative switches to present day and Michael is working on the yearbook and meets Lizzy and can't get her off his mind. Especially when she turns out to be a thief. They may have accidentally killed some kid on snowmobiles but all the friends decide it'd be a bad idea to tell the cops.
Until Michael gets threatening phonecalls and his friends get seriously hurt. There's a really lame twist that was predictable from the get go. There were a lot of graphic death and gore which I found extremely satisfying Not really worth a read. Jul 22, Kristi rated it really liked it.
I love R. On to the present, we meet Michael and his friends, a close-knit group of seniors that are attending Shadyside H I love R. On to the present, we meet Michael and his friends, a close-knit group of seniors that are attending Shadyside High. When a snowmobiling accident leads to a missing body, things begin to go horribly wrong and Michaels friends begin to die or suffer horrible accidents.
Lizzy acts strangely but then again, just how much do they really know about her anyways? Both are phenomenal, using perfect pitch and cadence to express the emotions and horror of this story. A true delight to listen to! His writing is atmospheric and creepy, at times comical but always entertaining! Aug 04, Tarissa rated it it was amazing.
This plot definitely held my attention. How many people died? It was crazy. The Lost Girl has a wintry setting, so you can either read it in the dead or winter yourself, or you can read it in the blazes of summer like I did! I'm not kidding. Not only are there just dangerous situations to be in, people really get hurt. And what does this new girl at school, Lizzy, have t Wow. And what does this new girl at school, Lizzy, have to do with it?
She seems to be all mixed up in the trouble. But then, so is Michael, and he's trying to be the good guy here The audiobook was narrated very well; I enjoyed the narrator's voice. Would listen to more by this narrator for sure! Aug 10, Alex rated it did not like it Shelves: 3-and Thanks to the publisher for providing the audiobook for The Lost Girl in exchange for an honest review. I was an R. Stine superfan growing up so when I saw these available for review, I requested all 3 review copies without a second thought.
I shouldn't have. I didn't enjoy any of the 3 I've listened to but this one is by far the worst. First off on an audiobook side, the narrator sounds too old. I'm normally fine with clearly incorrect age casting, but our MC is very sarcastic and tongue and ch Thanks to the publisher for providing the audiobook for The Lost Girl in exchange for an honest review.
I'm normally fine with clearly incorrect age casting, but our MC is very sarcastic and tongue and cheek and having an adult man say all that felt really forced and also like a parody of an actual teenager. The plot was definitely the weak point though. The description makes it sound like a very different book than the one you get and the one you get doesn't work either.
This is really really gorey so I don't think it's the case of "reviewer has clearly outgrow this genre" because I don't think it could realistically be marketed anywhere younger than my age range. It's just not good. I swear no one does thrillers like Stine! I don't remember reading this one growing up, but wow! Reading it now was so good! I finished this book easily in under 24hours. Trust me, that's me right now.
Stine has a true way with words and writing that just wraps you up and draws you back to the 90s, to the stories, just the nostalgia of this story and the thrill of it made this a 4. Great book, The Lost Girl pdf is enough to raise the goose bumps alone. Add a review Your Rating: Your Comment:. Hot Chicken Chicken by R. Hot The Beast from the East by R.
